When She Knows She’s Plenty is a photographic project of analog double exposures in which the multiplicity of a woman’s inner landscape is met by the rich expression of botanic nature. The series will continue to grow over time, with more women to go into a process with themselves and the camera, revealing facets and traits to be seen and witnessed.

Education and career often lead to specialization. Many people become great experts, emitting a strong sense of reliability and expertise. Multi-talented people on the other hand, and those who re-invent themselves a few times over one lifetime can seem unpredictable or random. Is it lack of focus? Is it creative life force, expressing itself in multiple forms? Both?
I have seen much sadness and emptiness in people’s lives when they forget the interests and talents they once cherished, in favor of a career that led them down a specific path, or as a result of pragmatic life choices. Sometimes it’s also a sense of missing mentors who would point out what is truly unique about oneself. Many people have beautiful gifts they take for granted, but never fully share with the world.
When She Knows She’s Plenty is an invitation to remember one’s own multi-colored bountifulness. And a permission slip to be more of ourselves, even when the big-picture direction hasn't revealed itself yet.
