This is me, looking into my old smartphone's selfie camera on a random morning in the Danish countryside in early 2024. The context is not important, but somewhat comforting.
I was born into a family of Slavic origin in 1986, in a state that no longer exists: the GDR. I still got my vaccination card from that time; it makes doctors marvel. Spending the last two decades of my life living in eight countries made me feel like I'm more of an Earthian than a citizen of a border-defined territory... which is wonderful and weird.
I spend a good chunk of time pondering the great mystery of existence. And I find all sorts of ways to connect with deep states of consciousness, may it be through dreams, meditation, breathwork, or similar portals.
My soul fire is lit by genuine connection, real and raw conversations, people with a heartfelt mission, spaciousness and aliveness as lived experiences, and everyone who deeply cares about a more sustainable and peaceful way forward on this planet.
When it comes to photography, I shoot digital as well, but my passion lies with analog, especially experimental techniques. They are pleasantly honest, unforgiving and slow. Waiting is part of the process, it becomes precious and exciting. And they challenge me in the best way possible to keep learning, experimenting, and refining.
